We said, "Messenger of Allah, shall we not build you a house to shade you at Mina?"He replied, "No, Mina is a resting place for whoever arrives first."

[Its isnad is hasan]. Ibn Majah also narrated it in the Chapters on Rites of Hajj, chapter on stopping at Mina, no. 3006, from the hadith of Waki, transmitted through him. Ibn Khuzayma graded it sahih, no. 2891, as did Hakim, who said it meets the standard of Muslim, 1/466, 467, and Dhahabi agreed with him.
