The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to her, "Were it not that your people are recently removed from the days of ignorance, I would have demolished the Kaabah and made two doors for it."When Ibn Zubayr came to power, he demolished it and made two doors for it.
حدثنا محمود بن غيلان حدثنا أبو داود عن شعبة عن أبي إسحق عن الأسود بن يزيد أن ابن الزبير قال له حدثني بما كانت تفضي إليك أم المؤمنين يعني
أن رسول الله ﷺ قال لها لولا أن قومك حديثو عهد بالجاهلية لهدمت الكعبة وجعلت لها بابين قال فلما ملك ابن الزبير هدمها وجعل لها بابين
[Its chain of transmission is sahih] Nasai reported it: 12/211, no. 2905 (Rites of Hajj, Chapter on the Construction of the Kaaba) from the hadith of Shubah through the same route, and Bukhari reported it, no. 1583, 1584, and Muslim, no. 1333/405, from the hadith of Aswad through the same route.
