The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever performs the pilgrimage without obscene speech or wrongdoing will have his past sins forgiven."

Agreed upon [by Bukhari and Muslim]. Bukhari narrated it in the chapter on those prevented from completing Hajj, in the section on the saying of Allah Almighty, "There is no obscenity and no disputing during Hajj", hadith 1820, and Muslim narrated it, hadith 1350, from the hadith of Sufyan bin Uyayna with this same chain.
