The Prophet's ﷺ zakat collector came to us and took the charity from our wealthy and distributed it among our poor. I was an orphan boy at the time, and he gave me a young she-camel from it.

قدم علينا مصدق النبي ﷺ فأخذ الصدقة من أغنيائنا فجعلها في فقرائنا وكنت غلاما يتيما فأعطاني منها قلوصا

[Its chain is daif]. Ibn Khuzayma also narrated it, hadith no. 2362, from Ali bin Saeed, with the same wording.Hafs was followed by Yahya bin Zakariya bin Abu Zaida, Abbad bin Awwam, Ismail bin Zakariya, and others. Ashath bin Sawwar is daif, as stated in Taqrib and elsewhere.On this subject there is also a report from Ibn Abbas [Bukhari, hadith no. 1395, and Muslim, hadith no. 19].
