He performed ablution and wiped over his leather socks. I asked him about that, and he replied, "I saw the Prophet ﷺ perform ablution and wipe over his leather socks."I asked him, "Was that before the revelation of Surah al-Maidah or after it?"He answered, "I did not embrace Islam until after al-Maidah."
