I used to pray with the Prophet ﷺ, and his prayer was moderate in length and his sermon was moderate in length.
حدثنا قتيبة وهناد قالا حدثنا أبو الأحوص عن سماك بن حرب
كنت أصلي مع النبي ﷺ فكانت صلاته قصدا وخطبته قصدا
Muslim also reported it in the Book of Friday Prayer, chapter on shortening the prayer and sermon, no. 866, through the hadith of Abu Ahwas.On this subject there are also narrations from Ammar bin Yasir [Muslim, no. 869] and Ibn Abu Awfa [Nasai, no. 1415].
