Its isnad is sahih. Abu Dawud narrated it in the Book of Witr, chapter on the time of Witr, hadith 1436, from the hadith of Yahya bin Zakariya through the same route, and Ibn Khuzayma graded it sahih, hadith 1087, as did Ibn Hibban (al-Ihsan) 2436. Muslim also narrated it, hadith 750, from the hadith of Ibn Umar.
