The Prophet ﷺ said, "The best of your prayers are those performed in your homes, except for the obligatory ones."

عن النبي ﷺ قال أفضل صلاتكم في بيوتكم إلا المكتوبة
Agreed upon [by Bukhari and Muslim]. Muslim also recorded it in the Book of the Prayer of Travelers, Chapter on the Recommendation of Performing the Voluntary Prayer in One's House, etc, hadith 781, from the hadith of Muhammad bin Jafar, with it at length, and Bukhari, hadith 731, from the hadith of Salim Abu Nadr, with it.There are also narrations on this subject from Umar bin Khattab [Ibn Majah, hadith 1375], Jabir bin Abdullah [Muslim, hadith 778], Abu Saeed [Ibn Majah, hadith 1376], Abu Hurairah [Muslim, hadith 780], Ibn Umar [coming up, 451], Ayesha [Ahmad, 6/65], Abdullah bin Saad [Ibn Majah, hadith 1378, and Tirmidhi in Shamail, hadith 296], and Zayd bin Khalid Juhani [Ahmad, 5/192, 114].
