It was said that the Prophet ﷺ performed ablution once each, twice each, and three times each. He replied, "Yes."
حدثنا إسمعيل بن موسى الفزاري حدثنا شريك عن ثابت بن أبي صفية قال قلت لأبي جعفر
أن النبي ﷺ توضأ مرة مرة ومرتين مرتين وثلاثا ثلاثا قال نعم
[Sahih]. Ibn Majah also recorded it in the Book of Purification, Chapter on what has been said concerning performing wudu once, hadith no. 410, from the hadith of Sharik the judge, with this same chain, but its chain is very daif. The hadith has many corroborating narrations in Bukhari (157, 158, 159) and elsewhere.
