Whenever the Prophet ﷺ missed his night prayer because sleep had overcome him or his eyes had been overpowered by it, he would pray twelve cycles during the day.
Muslim also narrated it in Book of the Travelers' Prayer, Chapter on the Comprehensive Chapter on Night Prayer, etc., hadith 746, from Qutayba, with the same wording. The statement of Zurara bin Awfa was narrated by Ibn Saad, 7/150, and by Abu Nuaym in Hilyat Awliya, 2/258, 259, from the hadith of Attab, with the same wording. I did not find anyone who verified him as reliable, so the chain is daif.
