The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "No one endures the hardship and severity of Madinah without my being a witness or an intercessor for him on the Day of Resurrection."
حدثنا محمود بن غيلان حدثنا الفضل بن موسى حدثنا هشام بن عروة عن صالح بن أبي صالح عن أبيه
أن رسول الله ﷺ قال لا يصبر على لأواء المدينة وشدتها أحد إلا كنت له شهيدا أو شفيعا يوم القيامة
Muslim also narrated it in the Book of Hajj, chapter on the encouragement to reside in Madinah and to bear patiently its hardships and severity, hadith no. 1378, from the hadith of Fadl bin Musa, through the same chain. There is also, on this subject, a narration from Abu Saeed [mentioned earlier, hadith no. 3918], and from Sufyan bin Abu Zuhayr and Subayah [as well].
