The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The best of people are my generation, then those who follow them, then those who follow them. Then a people will come after that whose oaths will outrun their testimonies, or whose testimonies will outrun their oaths."
حدثنا هناد حدثنا أبو معاوية عن الأعمش عن إبراهيم عن عبيدة هو السلماني
قال رسول الله ﷺ خير الناس قرني ثم الذين يلونهم ثم الذين يلونهم ثم يأتي قوم من بعد ذلك تسبق أيمانهم شهاداتهم أو شهاداتهم أيمانهم
Agreed upon by Bukhari and Muslim.
