Jabir bin Abdullah reported,
I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, with the funeral bier of Saad bin Muaz before them, "The Throne of the Most Merciful trembled for him."

Muslim also narrated it in the Book of the Virtues of the Companions, chapter on the virtues of Saad bin Muaz , hadith no. 2466, through Abdul-Razzaq with the same wording. On this subject there are also narrations from Usayd bin Hudayr [Hakim: 3/289] and Abu Saeed Khudri [Ahmad: 3/3, and Nasai in Kubra, hadith no. 8225, and Hakim: 3/206], and from Rumaytha [Shamail: 18].
