Abu Dharr reported,

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to me, "The green sky has not shaded, nor has the dusty earth carried, anyone more truthful in speech or more faithful than Abu Dharr. He resembles Isa son of Maryam ."Umar bin Khattab said, as if envious, "Messenger of Allah, do you truly recognize this for him?"He replied, "Yes, so acknowledge it for him."He said, this is a hasan gharib hadith from this chain. Some have narrated this hadith with the wording, "Abu Dharr walks upon the earth with the asceticism of Isa son of Maryam ."

حدثنا العباس العنبري حدثنا النضر بن محمد حدثنا عكرمة بن عمار حدثني أبو زميل هو سماك بن الوليد الحنفي عن مالك بن مرثد عن أبيه

عن أبي ذر قال

قال لي رسول الله ﷺ ما أظلت الخضراء ولا أقلت الغبراء من ذي لهجة أصدق ولا أوفى من أبي ذر شبه عيسى ابن مريم عليه السلام فقال عمر بن الخطاب كالحاسد يا رسول الله أفتعرف ذلك له قال نعم فاعرفوه له قال هذا حديث حسن غريب من هذا الوجه وقد روى بعضهم هذا الحديث فقال أبو ذر يمشي في الأرض بزهد عيسى ابن مريم عليه السلام
