Aqib and Sayyid came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, "Send with us your trustworthy one."He replied, "I will send with you a trustworthy man, truly trustworthy."The people craned their necks hoping to be chosen, and he sent Abu Ubayda bin Jarra. The narrator said, whenever Abu Ishaq related this hadith from Sila, he would say, "I heard it sixty years ago."This is a good and authentic hadith. It has also been narrated from Ibn Umar and Anas from the Prophet ﷺ that he said, "Every nation has a trustworthy one, and the trustworthy one of this nation is Abu Ubayda bin Jarra."
