The Prophet ﷺ was sent as a messenger on a Monday, and Ali prayed on Tuesday.
حدثنا إسمعيل بن موسى حدثنا علي بن عابس عن مسلم الملائي
بعث النبي ﷺ يوم الاثنين وصلى علي يوم الثلاثاء
Sourcing, its isnad is daif. Hakim narrated it (3/112) through the hadith of Ali bin Aabis with the same wording, and he is daif. Muslim bin Kaysan Mulai is also daif, see Taqrib Tahdhib and others.It has a corroborating report that is void, found in Hakim. On this subject there is also a report from Ali [Abu Yaala: 446].
