The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Allah has commanded me to love four people and has informed me that He loves them."It was said, "Messenger of Allah, name them for us."He said, "Ali is one of them," repeating this three times, "and Abu Dharr, Miqdad, and Salman. He has commanded me to love them and informed me that He loves them."He said, this is a hasan gharib hadith. We know it only through the narration of Sharik.
[Its chain is daif] Ibn Majah reported it in the Introduction, Chapter on the Virtue of Salman, Abu Dharr, and Miqdad, Hadith 149, from Ismail bin Musa, through the same chain. Sharik the judge narrated with "an" (using an ambiguous transmission formula), and Abu Rabia is a narrator whose hadith is hasan, and the majority of scholars considered him trustworthy.
