Ibn Majah narrated it in the Introduction, chapter on the Merit of Abu Bakr Siddiq , no. 96, from the hadith of Amash, and Abu Dawud, no. 3987, from the hadith of Atiya Awfi, through the same route. Baghawi graded it hasan (Sharh al-Sunnah, no. 3892), and it has a hasan corroborating narration with Tabarani in Al-Awsat, 6/7, no. 6003.
