The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was neither tall nor short. His hands and feet were thick, his head was large, his joints were large, and the line of hair running down his chest was long. When he walked, he leaned forward as though descending a slope. I have never seen anyone like him, neither before him nor after him.
[Hasan]. Ibn Saad related it, 1/411, from Abu Naeem Fadl bin Dukayn, through this route, and he heard from Masudi before his confusion set in. Hakim graded it sahih, 2/605, 606, and Dhahabi agreed with him. Ahmad related it, 1/96, from the hadith of Masudi, through this route. Abdul-Malik bin Umayr related it (Ahmad, 1/117, 127, 134) from Nafi bin Jubayr, through this route, and Ibn Hibban graded it sahih, hadith 2117. The hadith has many corroborating narrations.
