The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to deliver his sermons leaning against a palm trunk. Then a pulpit was made for him, and he delivered his sermon from it. The palm trunk moaned like a she-camel longing for her young, so the Prophet ﷺ came down and touched it, and it became still.
حدثنا محمود بن غيلان حدثنا عمر بن يونس عن عكرمة بن عمار عن إسحق بن عبد الله بن أبي طلحة
أن رسول الله ﷺ خطب إلى لزق جذع واتخذوا له منبرا فخطب عليه فحن الجذع حنين الناقة فنزل النبي ﷺ فمسه فسكن
[Its isnad is hasan] It was also narrated by Ibn Khuzayma, h: 1777, and Darimi, 1/19, h: 42, from the hadith of Umar bin Yunus, via the same route. There is also a report on this subject from Abu... and Umm Salama [previously mentioned: 505].
