The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Allah chose Ismail from the descendants of Ibrahim, and from the descendants of Ismail He chose Banu Kinanah, and from Banu Kinanah He chose Quraysh, and from Quraysh He chose Banu Hashim, and from Banu Hashim He chose me."

قال رسول الله ﷺ إن الله اصطفى من ولد إبراهيم إسمعيل واصطفى من ولد إسمعيل بني كنانة واصطفى من بني كنانة قريشا واصطفى من قريش بني هاشم واصطفاني من بني هاشم
