The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Supplication made between the call to prayer and the iqamah is not rejected."They asked, "What should we say, Messenger of Allah?"He replied, "Ask Allah for well-being in this world and the next."
[Its chain is daif] Abu Dawud also narrated it in the Book of Prayer, chapter on supplication between the adhan and the iqamah, hadith 521, from the narration of Sufyan Thawri, in a shortened form with the wording, "Supplication between the adhan and the iqamah is not rejected." Part of it has a sahih supporting narration in Ahmad, 3/225, and Ibn Khuzayma graded it sahih, hadith 426 and 427. The hadith also has other supporting narrations in Ibn Hibban, hadith 296, and Ibn Khuzayma and others. The hadith of Tirmidhi with this wording is daif. Sulami is daif, and it contains other defects as well.
