The Messenger of Allah ﷺ taught me, saying, "Say, 'O Allah, this is the approach of Your night and the departure of Your day, the voices of those who call upon You and the time of Your prayers. I ask You to forgive me.'"

Sourcing, [hasan]. Abu Dawud narrated it in the Book of Prayer, Chapter on what is said at the adhan of Maghrib, hadith: 530, from the hadith of Abu Kathir, with this wording, and Hakim graded it sahih, 1/169, and Dhahabi agreed with him. Abu Kathir was deemed reliable by Hakim and Dhahabi, so his hadith is hasan, and Hafsa bint Abu Kathir was corroborated by Masudi. Praise be to Allah.
