The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "There is no Muslim on the face of the earth who supplicates to Allah with any supplication except that Allah grants it to him or wards off from him an equivalent harm, as long as he does not ask for something sinful or for the severing of family ties."A man from the gathering said, "Then we shall ask abundantly."He replied, "Allah has even more in abundance."
[Hasan]. Abdullah bin Ahmad reported it (5/329) from Muhammad bin Yusuf, with the same wording. This hadith has corroborating narrations in Hakim (1/493), Ahmad (3/18), and others. See also hadith no. 3381. Munziri judged its chains of transmission to be sound.
