The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Allah created one hundred mercies. He placed one mercy among His creation, by which they show compassion to one another, and with Allah remain ninety-nine mercies."
حدثنا قتيبة حدثنا عبد العزيز بن محمد عن العلاء بن عبد الرحمن عن أبيه
أن رسول الله ﷺ قال خلق الله مائة رحمة فوضع رحمة واحدة بين خلقه يتراحمون بها وعند الله تسع وتسعون رحمة
Muslim also narrated it in "the Book of Repentance, the chapter on the vastness of Allah's mercy and how it overcomes His wrath," Hadith 2752, from the hadith of Ala through the same chain.On this topic, there are also narrations from Salman [Muslim, Hadith 2753] and Jundab bin Abdullah [Abu Dawud, Hadith 4885, and Ahmad 4/312].
