Two men exchanged insults in the presence of the Prophet ﷺ until anger became visible on the face of one of them. The Prophet ﷺ said, "I know a word which, if he were to say it, his anger would leave him. 'I seek refuge in Allah from the accursed Satan.'"

استب رجلان عند النبي ﷺ حتى عرف الغضب في وجه أحدهما فقال النبي ﷺ إني لأعلم كلمة لو قالها لذهب غضبه أعوذ بالله من الشيطان الرجيم
[Sahih] Reference: Abu Dawud narrated it in the Book of Manners, chapter on what is said when angry, hadith 4780, from the hadith of Abdul-Malik bin Umayr with the same wording. Ahmad also narrated it (5/244) from Ibn Lahia, and it has another route in Nasai's Kubra, hadith 10223, with a sahih chain.There is also a narration on this subject from Sulayman bin Surad [Bukhari, hadith 3282, and Muslim, hadith 2610/109].The hadith of Shubah is found in Maraseel by Ibn Abu Hatim, p. 126, with a sahih chain from him.
