The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "There is no servant who says each morning and each evening, 'In the name of Allah, with whose name nothing on earth or in the heavens can cause harm, and He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing,' three times, and anything will harm him."Abban had been struck by a touch of paralysis, and the man began staring at him.Abban said to him, "What are you looking at? The hadith is exactly as I have narrated it to you, but I did not say it that day, so that Allah's decree might run its course upon me."
حدثنا محمد بن بشار حدثنا أبو داود حدثنا عبد الرحمن بن أبي الزناد عن أبيه عن أبان بن عثمان قال سمعت
قال رسول الله ﷺ ما من عبد يقول في صباح كل يوم ومساء كل ليلة بسم الله الذي لا يضر مع اسمه شيء في الأرض ولا في السماء وهو السميع العليم ثلاث مرات لم يضره شيء وكان أبان قد أصابه طرف فالج فجعل الرجل ينظر إليه فقال له أبان ما تنظر أما إن الحديث كما حدثتك ولكني لم أقله يومئذ ليمضي الله علي قدره
[Its isnad is hasan] Ibn Majah narrated it in the Book of Supplication, the chapter on what a man says when he wakes and when he retires, hadith no. 3869, from Muhammad bin Bashshar, with the same wording. It is also found in Musnad Tayalisi, hadith no. 79. Abu Dawud narrated it, hadith no. 5088, from the hadith of Aban, and Hakim graded it sahih, 1/514, and Dhahabi concurred with him.
