The Prophet ﷺ looked at the moon and said, "Ayesha, seek refuge in Allah from the evil of this, for this is the darkness when it gathers."
حدثنا محمد بن المثنى حدثنا عبد الملك بن عمرو العقدي عن ابن أبي ذئب عن الحارث بن عبد الرحمن عن أبي سلمة
أن النبي ﷺ نظر إلى القمر فقال يا عائشة استعيذي بالله من شر هذا فإن هذا هو الغاسق إذا وقب
[Its isnad is hasan]. Ahmad reported it (6/215) from Abdul-Malik bin Amr through the same route. Nasai narrated it in Amal al-Yawm wal-Layla (305) and in Kubra (10137) from the hadith of Abdul-Malik bin Amr Abu Amir. Hakim declared it sahih (2/540, 541), and Dhahabi agreed with him.
