The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The promised day is the Day of Resurrection, the witnessed day is the day of Arafah, and the witness is Friday. The sun has never risen nor set upon a better day than it. In it there is an hour during which no believing servant asks Allah for something good without Allah granting it to him, and he seeks refuge from nothing without Allah granting him refuge from it."Ali bin Hujr narrated to us, saying that Qurran bin Tammam Asadi narrated to them from Musa bin Ubayda, with this chain of transmission, something similar.Musa bin Ubayda Rabadhi's kunya was Abu Abdul-Aziz. Yahya bin Saeed Qattan and others criticized him on account of his memory, though Shuba, Thawri, and more than one of the leading scholars narrated from him.
Hasan. Bayhaqi (3/170) also narrated it through Rawh bin Ubada, with this same wording, but its chain of transmission is daif. It has a corroborating report narrated as a stopped hadith, found in Hakim (2/519), who graded it sahih according to the standard of the two Shaykhs, and Dhahabi agreed with him. The hadith has other corroborating reports as well.
