Regarding the verse "The heart did not lie about what it saw" [Najm 53:11], he said, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saw Jibreel in a garment of fine green silk that filled what is between the heavens and the earth.

[Sahih] Nasai also narrated it in Kubra, no. 11541, from the hadith of Abu Ishaq through this route. Hakim graded it sahih according to the criteria of the two sheikhs, 2/468, and Dhahabi agreed with him. The hadith has corroborating narrations in Ahmad, 1/395, 412, 460, and elsewhere.
