He was one of the companions of the Prophet ﷺ and used to narrate from the Prophet ﷺ who said, "A prayer offered in the mosque of Quba is equal to an Amra."
حدثنا محمد بن العلاء أبو كريب وسفيان بن وكيع قالا حدثنا أبو أسامة عن عبد الحميد بن جعفر قال حدثنا أبو الأبرد مولى بني خطمة أنه
وكان من أصحاب النبي ﷺ يحدث عن النبي ﷺ قال الصلاة في مسجد قباء كعمرة
Its citation, hasan. Ibn Majah narrated it in "Establishing Prayers," the chapter on what has been said about prayer in the masjid of Quba, hadith no. 1411, and Hakim in 1/487, from the hadith of Abu Usama, Hammad bin... Munziri graded it sahih in Targheeb wal-Tarheeb, 2/217, hadith no. 1782. The hadith has corroborating witnesses.
