Abdullah bin Masud reported,

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ entered Makkah in the Year of the Conquest, and around the Kaabah were three hundred and sixty idols. The Prophet ﷺ began striking them with a stick he held in his hand, and sometimes the narrator said "with a piece of wood," reciting, "Truth has come and falsehood has perished. Indeed, falsehood is ever bound to perish" [Isra 17:81], "Truth has come, and falsehood can neither originate anything nor restore it" [Saba 34:49].He said, this is a hasan sahih hadith, and there is also a narration on this subject from Ibn Umar.
