The Prophet ﷺ said regarding the verse "and the recitation of Fajr, for the recitation of Fajr is witnessed" [Isra 17:78], "The angels of the night and the angels of the day witness it."He said, this is a good and authentic hadith. Ali bin Mushir also narrated something similar from Amash, from Abu Salih, from Abu Hurairah and Abu Saeed, from the Prophet ﷺ. Ali bin Hujr related that to us, saying Ali bin Mushir narrated to us from Amash, and he mentioned something similar.
حدثنا عبيد بن أسباط بن محمد قرشي كوفي حدثنا أبي عن الأعمش عن أبي صالح
عن النبي ﷺ في قوله {وقرآن الفجر إن قرآن الفجر كان مشهودا} قال تشهده ملائكة الليل وملائكة النهار قال هذا حديث حسن صحيح وروى علي بن مسهر عن الأعمش عن أبي صالح عن أبي هريرة وأبي سعيد عن النبي ﷺ نحوه حدثنا بذلك علي بن حجر حدثنا علي بن مسهر عن الأعمش فذكر نحوه
[Sahih] Ibn Majah also narrated it in the Book of Prayer, chapter on the time of the Fajr prayer, no. 670, from Ubayd bin Asbat with the same chain, and Ibn Khuzayma graded it sahih, no. 1474, as did Hakim (1/210, 211), and Dhahabi agreed with him. The hadith has supporting narrations in Bukhari and elsewhere (Ibn Kathir 3/53, 54). Ibn Khuzayma also narrated it from Ali bin Hajar with the same chain, and said, "A gharib, gharib report."
