One of the two narrated from the Prophet ﷺ that he mentioned that Jibreel ﷺ began stuffing mud into Pharaoh's mouth, fearing that he might say, "There is no god but Allah," and so Allah would have mercy on him, or fearing that Allah would have mercy on him.
حدثنا محمد بن عبد الأعلى الصنعاني حدثنا خالد بن الحارث أخبرنا شعبة أخبرني عدي بن ثابت وعطاء بن السائب عن سعيد بن جبير
ذكر أحدهما عن النبي ﷺ أنه ذكر أن جبريل ﷺ جعل يدس في في فرعون الطين خشية أن يقول لا إله إلا الله فيرحمه الله أو خشية أن يرحمه الله
[Its isnad is hasan]. Nasai also narrated it in Al-Kubra, no. 11238, from the hadith of Shubah, from Ataa bin Saaib, with the same wording. Ibn Hibban graded it sahih, no. 1745, as did Hakim, according to the standard of the two Shaykhs, 1/57, 2/340, and Dhahabi agreed with him.
