A man came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said, "Messenger of Allah, 'They ask you for a ruling. Say, Allah gives you a ruling concerning the kalalah' [Nisa 4:176]."The Prophet ﷺ said to him, "The summer verse is sufficient for you."
حدثنا عبد بن حميد حدثنا أحمد بن يونس عن أبي بكر بن عياش عن أبي إسحق
جاء رجل إلى رسول الله ﷺ فقال يا رسول الله {يستفتونك قل الله يفتيكم في الكلالة} فقال له النبي ﷺ تجزئك آية الصيف
[Hasan]. Abu Dawud narrated it in the Book of Inheritance, chapter on one who has no child but has sisters, no. 2889, from the hadith of Abu Bakr bin Ayyash, and this chain is daif, but the essence of the hadith has corroborating evidence in Muslim, no. 1617, and elsewhere, and with these it is hasan.
