[Hasan] Abu Dawud narrated it in the chapter on Witr, section on seeking forgiveness, hadith 1523, and others narrated it as well, from the hadith of Ali bin Rabah through this route. Ibn Khuzayma graded it sahih, hadith 755, as did Ibn Hibban, hadith 2347, and Hakim, on the criterion of Muslim, 1/253, and Dhahabi agreed with him. The hadith has other routes of transmission as well.
