Jabir reported that the Prophet ﷺ would not sleep until he had recited Alif Lam Mim Tanzil and Tabarak alladhi biyadihi al-mulk.
حدثنا هريم بن مسعر الترمذي حدثنا الفضيل بن عياض عن ليث عن أبي الزبير
أن النبي ﷺ كان لا ينام حتى يقرأ الم تنزيل وتبارك الذي بيده الملك
Its isnad is daif. Nasai narrated it in Amal al-Yawm wal-Layla, no. 708, from the hadith of Layth bin Abu Salim, and he was not alone in narrating it, as will come at 3404 through another chain from Abu Zubayr. The hadith of Mughira bin Muslim was narrated by Nasai in Amal al-Yawm wal-Layla, no. 706, and Abu Zubayr used the ambiguous form "an" (indicating possible lack of direct hearing). Fudayl is Ibn Ayyash. The report of Tawus has a daif isnad due to the weakness of Layth bin Abu Salim.
