One of the companions of the Prophet ﷺ pitched his tent on what he did not realize was a grave. Suddenly he heard a person inside reciting the surah Tabarak alladhi biyadihi al-mulk until he completed it. He came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, "Messenger of Allah, I pitched my tent on what I did not realize was a grave, and suddenly I heard a person inside reciting the surah Tabarak al-Mulk until he completed it."The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "It is the protector, it is the deliverer. It delivers him from the punishment of the grave."
حدثنا محمد بن عبد الملك بن أبي الشوارب حدثنا يحيى بن عمرو بن مالك النكري عن أبيه عن أبي الجوزاء
ضرب بعض أصحاب النبي ﷺ خباءه على قبر وهو لا يحسب أنه قبر فإذا فيه إنسان يقرأ سورة تبارك الذي بيده الملك حتى ختمها فأتى النبي ﷺ فقال يا رسول الله إني ضربت خبائي على قبر وأنا لا أحسب أنه قبر فإذا فيه إنسان يقرأ سورة تبارك الملك حتى ختمها فقال رسول الله ﷺ هي المانعة هي المنجية تنجيه من عذاب القبر
[Its chain of transmission is daif] Tabarani narrated it in al-Kabir (12/175, no. 12801) from the hadith of Muhammad bin Abdul-Malik bin Abu Shawarib, and Bayhaqi narrated it in Ithbat Azab Qabr (in my edition, no. 146) from the hadith of Yahya bin Amr bin Malik through this same route, and he said, "Yahya bin Amr bin Malik alone transmitted it, and he is daif."
