The Prophet ﷺ said, "Allah has cursed the woman who joins hair and the one who asks for it to be joined, and the woman who tattoos and the one who asks to be tattooed."Nafi said, "The tattoo is on the gums."He said, this is a hasan sahih hadith.
حدثنا سويد أخبرنا عبد الله بن المبارك عن عبيد الله بن عمر عن نافع
عن النبي ﷺ قال لعن الله الواصلة والمستوصلة والواشمة والمستوشمة قال نافع الوشم في اللثة قال هذا حديث حسن صحيح
Agreed upon (by Bukhari and Muslim). Bukhari narrated it in the Book of Dress, Chapter on Attaching Hair, hadith no. 5937, through Ibn Mubarak, and Muslim, hadith no. 2124, through Ubaydullah bin Umar, with this wording.On this subject there are also narrations from Ayesha [Bukhari, no. 5205, and Muslim, no. 2123], Maqil bin Yasar [Ahmad, 25/5], Asma bint Abu Bakr [Bukhari, no. 5941, and Muslim, no. 2122], and Ibn Abbas [Abu Dawud, no. 4170].
