Grading, its chain is daif. Abu Dawud narrated it in the Book of Marriage, chapter on what is commanded regarding lowering the gaze, hadith no. 2149, through the narration of Sharik, and Hakim graded it sahih according to the criteria of Muslim (2/194), and Dhahabi agreed with him (!). Sharik transmitted it using "an," and the hadith has a daif corroborating witness reported by Ahmad and Hakim (3/123) and others.
