The Messenger of Allah ﷺ saw a man lying on his stomach and said, "This is a manner of lying that Allah does not love."
حدثنا أبو كريب حدثنا عبدة بن سليمان وعبد الرحيم عن محمد بن عمرو حدثنا أبو سلمة
رأى رسول الله ﷺ رجلا مضطجعا على بطنه فقال إن هذه ضجعة لا يحبها الله
Its chain of transmission is hasan. Ahmad narrated it (287/2) through the hadith of Muhammad bin Amr Laythi with the same wording, and Ibn Hibban graded it sahih in Ihsan (5523), as did Hakim according to the criteria of Muslim (4/271), and Dhahabi agreed with him. There is also a hadith on this topic from Tuhfah [Abu Dawud, no. 5040] and Ibn Umar [Khatib, in Muwaddih Awham Jam wa Tafriq, 17/1].
