The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Trim the moustaches and let the beards grow."
حدثنا الحسن بن علي الخلال حدثنا عبد الله بن نمير عن عبيد الله بن عمر عن نافع
قال رسول الله ﷺ أحفوا الشوارب وأعفوا اللحى
Muslim also narrated it in the Book of Purification, Chapter on the Characteristics of Fitrah, hadith no. 259, from the hadith of Ibn Numayr, transmitted through him. Bukhari also narrated it, hadith no. 5893, from the hadith of Ubaydullah bin Umar.
