The Prophet ﷺ said, "When one of you prostrates, let him keep balanced and not spread out his forearms like a dog spreads its forelegs."
حدثنا هناد حدثنا أبو معاوية عن الأعمش عن أبي سفيان
أن النبي ﷺ قال إذا سجد أحدكم فليعتدل ولا يفترش ذراعيه افتراش الكلب
[Sahih]. Ibn Majah also narrated it in the Book of Establishing Prayers, Chapter on Moderation in Sujud, no. 891, from the hadith of Amash, with the same chain, and Ibn Khuzayma graded it sahih, no. 644.
