Its chain is daif. Hakim (3/242) narrated it from Musa bin Masud with this same wording and graded it sahih, but Dhahabi said, "However, it is disconnected," meaning that Musab bin Saad narrated it from Ikrima bin Abu Jahl without an intermediary, as noted in Taqrib and other sources, and it has other defects as well.There are also narrations on this subject from Burayda [Nasai in Kubra, no. 10088, and Amal al-Yawm wal-Layla, no. 258], Ibn Abbas [Bukhari, no. 53, 1398, and Muslim, no. 17], and Abu Juhayfa [Tabarani in Kabir, 22/106, nos. 264, 265, with its основа found in Ibn Majah, no. 711, in 6/22].
