The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The word of wisdom is the lost property of the believer, so wherever he finds it, he has the greatest right to it."
حدثنا محمد بن عمر بن الوليد الكندي حدثنا عبد الله بن نمير عن إبراهيم بن الفضل عن سعيد المقبري
قال رسول الله ﷺ الكلمة الحكمة ضالة المؤمن فحيث وجدها فهو أحق بها
[Its chain of transmission is daif] Ibn Majah also narrated it in Zuhd, chapter on Wisdom, hadith no. 4169, from the hadith of Ibn Numayr, with the same wording.
