[Its chain of transmission is daif] Aqeeli narrated it in Al-Duafa (2/24) through the hadith of Abu Kurayb Muhammad bin Ala with the same wording. It has daif corroborating narrations found with Ibn Mubarak (Al-Zuhd, no. 459), Qudaai, and others.Khalaf bin Ayub, from whom Ahmad bin Hanbal and a group of others narrated, is truthful but an innovator. He narrated objectionable reports from Awf and Qays.
