I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, when Sidrat al-Muntaha was mentioned to him, "A rider could travel in the shade of one of its branches for a hundred years," or he said, "a hundred riders could take shelter in its shade." Yahya was uncertain which wording was used. "In it are golden butterflies, and its fruits are like large jars."
حدثنا أبو كريب حدثنا يونس بن بكير عن محمد بن إسحق عن يحيى بن عباد بن عبد الله بن الزبير عن أبيه
سمعت رسول الله ﷺ يقول وذكر له سدرة المنتهى قال يسير الراكب في ظل الفنن منها مائة سنة أو يستظل بظلها مائة راكب شك يحيى فيها فراش الذهب كأن ثمرها القلال
Its isnad is hasan. Tabarani reported it 7/24, 88, no. 234, from the hadith of Yunus bin Bukayr, through the same route, and Hakim graded it sahih according to the criterion of the two Shaykhs, 2/469, and Dhahabi agreed with him. Muhammad bin Ishaq explicitly stated that he heard it directly, as found in Hannad bin Sari's Zuhd (1/98, no. 115).
