The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever gives for the sake of Allah, withholds for the sake of Allah, loves for the sake of Allah, hates for the sake of Allah, and gives in marriage for the sake of Allah has perfected his faith."
حدثنا عباس الدوري حدثنا عبد الله بن يزيد حدثنا سعيد بن أبي أيوب عن أبي مرحوم عبد الرحيم بن ميمون
أن رسول الله ﷺ قال من أعطى لله ومنع لله وأحب لله وأبغض لله وأنكح لله فقد استكمل إيمانه
Its isnad is hasan. Ahmad reported it (3/440) from Abdullah bin Yazid through the same route. The hadith has corroborating narrations, and Hakim graded it sahih according to the criteria of the two Shaykhs (2/164), and Dhahabi agreed with him.
