The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was asked about Waraqah. Khadijah said to him, "He believed in you, but he died before your mission became public."The Messenger of Allah ﷺ replied, "I saw him in a dream wearing white garments. Had he been among the people of the Fire, he would have been dressed otherwise."He said, this is a strange hadith, and Uthman bin Abdul-Rahman is not considered reliable among the scholars of hadith.

سئل رسول الله ﷺ عن ورقة فقالت له خديجة إنه كان صدقك ولكنه مات قبل أن تظهر فقال رسول الله ﷺ أريته في المنام وعليه ثياب بياض ولو كان من أهل النار لكان عليه لباس غير ذلك قال هذا حديث غريب وعثمان بن عبد الرحمن ليس عند أهل الحديث بالقوي

[Its chain is daif] Hakim reported it, 4/393, from the hadith of Yunus bin Bukayr with this chain, and said, "Its chain is sahih," but Dhahabi said, "Uthman is al-Waqasi, who is discarded." The hadith has daif corroborating narrations found in Ahmad, 6/65, and Hakim, 2/609, and elsewhere.
