The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Dreams are of three kinds. There is the true dream, the dream a man tells himself, and the distressing dream that comes from Satan. So whoever sees something he dislikes, let him get up and pray."He used to say, "I like to see fetters in a dream, but I dislike seeing a chain around the neck. Fetters represent steadfastness in religion."He used to say, "Whoever sees me in a dream has truly seen me, for Satan cannot take my form."He used to say, "Do not relate a dream except to a learned person or a sincere advisor."

قال رسول الله ﷺ الرؤيا ثلاث فرؤيا حق ورؤيا يحدث بها الرجل نفسه ورؤيا تحزين من الشيطان فمن رأى ما يكره فليقم فليصل وكان يقول يعجبني القيد وأكره الغل القيد ثبات في الدين وكان يقول من رآني فإني أنا هو فإنه ليس للشيطان أن يتمثل بي وكان يقول لا تقص الرؤيا إلا على عالم أو ناصح
